Any chance of a PDF reference manual for platinum for offline perusal?

If all goes as before it should be soon. I hope!

As I recall, the one for X3 was about three weeks after the release. I wasn't sure if Cakewalk is planning a release for this version at all due to the online resources and the membership updating.

I hope that we get a proper manual. I know what you are saying Andy but let us cross our fingers that one is forthcoming soon.

FWIW, the same information is provided in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum\SONAR.CHM" if the "SONAR Help and Tutorials" package is installed. The same CHM is available in Artist and Professional too.

And the beauty of it is that all the hyperlinks are active unlike a PDF. It makes getting around so much easier than the PDF which is just a big searchable text document.

I learned on thing just recently:

click the little arrow in pdf search field
Select the full reference search or similar
then there is advanced search too

You get a nice list of spots to just to, like search in windows help files(chm stuff).

But manual itself is really not the best resource, so far.
Sonar.chm is the one to download(or pick from installation if you installed tutorials too).

The PDF manual allows you to go from contents to item but from there that's it unless you use search. The chm file has links from TOC to items then to further notes etc.
Ive been an ardent PDF supporter for years and always point folks to using it but after 3 weeks of not having a PDF and only having the chm file I've found it to be more functional in its use. Just my opinion.
