Hello Everyone,

I simply want one of my rotaries to do NOTHING, but it is mapped to something in the ACT options (the green boxes area).  How do you clear the cell so it is assigned to do NOTHING?

Thank You,
Adam

Which plug-in are you using?

In ACT MIDI, Ctrl+Click in lower cell part to get "Cell MIDI Properties". You can set MIDI to 00 00 here.
In Generic Surface, select the control first and then change the message to "None".

I have problems with colors, so I do not know where you can see "the green boxed area"

For the buttons use the "Do nothing" option found in the list of commands in the drop down (that's found on the option tab).

For sliders and rotaries AFAIK you can't, although I guess you could MIDI learn the cell to some obscure MIDI control that you are unlikely to touch accidentally.

There can be more then one meaning for "do nothing" here.
  • you have MIDI learned some control and you want "unlearn" it. Ctrl+Click in the box with parameter value ("2% R" for "Slider 1") and in the "Cell MIDI Properties" replace MIDI numbers to "00" "00"
  • you want "do nothing" in ACT but not when ACT is disabled. That is not possible. The plug-in blocks the code once it is assigned, it is not propagated to MIDI track/VST then.
  • you want that some ACT cell "does nothing" in particular plug-in. You can ACT Learn that parameter to something else and after SONAR restart, with big luck and completely broken ACT configuration, you will see nothing there...
  • you want some slider function "as usual" in ACT mode. That can be done for the whole "bank" in the Options tab.
Or use my plug-in instead, it is in development and special wishes can be implemented
