No matter where I launch the melodyne plugin from in my new install of X3 the license manager crashes on startup and makes the plugin useless. the plugin loads but editing is impossible.

Any ideas on how to get it licensed or how to fix the crash of license manager?

thank you

EDIT:
I am editing this because I FOUND THE ANSWER = Data Execution Prevention has to be set to exclude Melodyne Licenser
Here's how (if you are like me and had no clue about this) :
WIN 7  right click on My Computer, Advanced System Settings, Performance, then Data Execution Prevention tab, then click on Add... navigate to C:\ProgramData\Celemony Software GmbH\Licenser\Melodyne singletrack Licenser.exe, highlight the file then click on Open. Now open Melodyne and the Activation screen will come up. Click Activate and you are done!

I'm not sure what you mean but if you have Melodyne essential installed all you have to do is enter the password in melodyne and editor is unlocked. Is it the unlocking process that is crashing?

edit: maybe not.. restart computer/uninstall-reinstall?

this is the email I sent to cakewalk. I also tried uninstalling and downloading from celemony site. the celemony zip included my license but the result was the same...i just don't get it?

Celemony Licenser is broken and I cannot find a way to start it. Error message box pops up when I try to load plugin: "Melodyne Licenser has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."  When I try to launch the licenser by itself from the C:\ProgramData folder nothing happens.
I have tried everything...checking permissions...reinstalling..downloading the demo from Celemony site and doing a 'repair install' as well as reinstall
I hope this licenser is repairable, the Melodyne plugin is one of the main reasons I upgraded. The ad copy suggested that Melodyne was built in so I didn't expect this type of crash

Thank you, Richard Bruckner"

I also cannot get the program to work.  I've had three messages to Celemony so far and none of their recommended steps (uninstalling/reinstalling directly from them, rebooting, running .exe's as administrator) have worked so far.

If anyone has successfully made it past this point I'd love to hear how you accomplished this.

Lots of people made it past that point - I did it a long time ago but I don't remember any hang ups with the installer.

It might help to troubleshoot if we knew you O/S, hardware, etc. and what error(s) you are getting.

My Melodyne is stuck in playback mode (everything is greyed out). It is unusable.

I have never once seen an activation window for it. When it is open and I click on help / license nothing happens.

I have tried Celemony tech support and after they recommended a number of steps (including redownloading directly from them; trying running Melodyne Singletrack as an admin; trying to use their program with no internet access in hopes of bringing up an offline registration window; putting their Melodyne Licenser.exe in Data Execution Prevention) they have told me they're out of ideas and concluded by saying they were out of ideas and concluding unhelpfully that "It must be an administrative issue."

I'm running Sonar Professional on  Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit, and if anyone has any ideas - or better yet - if anyone who has been through this could share how they got past this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
