I've been using Melodyne since Uno came out.  I moved to Editor 1 and then 2 before Cakewalk picked it up so I know my way around it.  I liked using Melodyne with Rewire but I must say, now that I've gotten comfortable using it as a Region FX the whole process is so much smoother and faster!

That being said, I had a very strange occurrence the other day.  While I was adjusting a blob, (using the Alt key and mouse), the blob just zoomed out of sight in the window!  One time the pitch went very high another it went very low.  It wouldn't let me bring the blob back.  It wasn't every blob.  I would edit a few and the wham!  I undid the Region FX and re-selected the clip but I got the same thing.

I shut down Sonar and rebooted the computer and I haven't seen it since.  Anyone else experienced this?  I'm going to post this over on the Celemony forums as well.

Thanks.

Yeah I do see similar things with Melodyne Editor, parts get out of sight, sometimes a note in the melody appear one octave above the actual pitch and sometimes I move a note and the harmonics don't follow resulting in a strange synth like note.

I use polyphonic and melodic algos most often.

Still pretty reliable and save an insane lot of time with region fx

My Melodyne editor sometimes starts making Sonar save changes after every pitch change/adjustment, which can get annoying quickly. I don't know why, but even though I do have "save project" after somewhere around 20 changes checked, nothing else does this except Melodyne.

Thanks guys.  I've only seen this the one time so far and I've been doing a lot of Melodyne lately.

There is one other little thing I've noticed.  When I render an edited Melodyne Region FX it boosts the volume level about 3db.  Not a big deal, I just lower the output in Melodyne before the bounce.  Unfortunately, I don't remember if I had the issue before the full integration of Editor or not.  Anyone else seen this one?

I haven't noted the 3 dB increase.  I DID have the glitches you're reporting on one occasion - going from memory here, but I think it recurred after re-booting, and I was having some other glitchy activity in Sonar.  I found that a Windows automatic update had installed some sort of Skype monitor that was auto-on by default.  I de-activiated that and my problems went away.  Don't know for sure it was related, but the problems went away at the same time.

Thanks Morgan.  I generally keep my DAW offline except for upgrading but this is worth checking out.
