Good morning everyone!

I've been dealing with this for quite some time now, and it has gotten annoying enough for me to search for answers. Basically, I have snap to grid on, in musical time, with smart grid enabled, and for whatever reason I can't actually get anything to snap to any of the grid lines. Instead, it chooses to snap either a little ahead of or before the line, never exactly on it. As you can imagine, this hinders editing by a fair amount, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for your time!

Have you checed the "strength" of the snap in Preferences?

Two ways this can happen:

1/ You've got it set to "snap to landmarks". That's the button with the flag symbols on in the control bar.

2/ You've got "snap to nearest audio zero crossings" switched on. Find that in Preferences > Customisation > Snap To Grid

Good morning, and thank you both for your responses!

KPerry, I've turned the strength all the way up, with no difference, and as expected, turning it down seems to disable snapping all-together.
John T, number one isn't the case, so I figured number two must be. I can say that there is some difference, but the issue still presents itself initially. What happens now is that it'll still be a little off, but I can zoom way in and then correct the offset. Right now, for instance, I'm doing a fade in 1/4 increments, and it seems like it's always roughly 1/32 off in whatever direction the fade starts at, say if you're doing a fade out, it'll be a bit to the left, a fade in, a bit to the right. Another interesting thing is that this only seems to be affecting fades. After switching off the audio zero crossings setting as per your suggestion, I can get audio itself to snap to the grid correctly, just not the fades. I haven't tested anything beyond that, but I'm not working with anything else at this current moment.

Thank you both for your time!

Also make sure the snap mode is To, not By.
