...An interesting phenomenon has recently been frustrating the heck outta me...

While in any project ... large or small ...the keyboard shortcut functions simply stop working....
if I save, close the project and re-open, everything works fine ...
Anyone else experiencing this?
 
the keyboard is hardwired to the computer...
Platinum (updated to Cambridge) ...

Keyboard shortcuts go to whichever application has got the current focus ...
 
Could it be that Sonar lost focus because some other application (e.g. I/O mixer GUI of soundcard) had the focus maybe even on the 2nd screen?
Did you by any chance click the "Send all keystroke to plug-in" button in any VST FX???

Thanks Bert ... never thought of these two... will definitely check these two factors next time it happens...
I'm sure it is operator error ...just don't know what that could be ...yet...

Also, keyboard shortcuts can be affected by which window has the focus within Sonar ..  yes, it's frustrating to have what you think is a global shortcut not work.     Especially things like windows-standard menu shortcuts (Alt-Letter) which work in the main track view but not in other windows.

yes, very true. some of them just work in the multi-dock ... I wish they all would be global and you wouldn't have to care about ...
