Hi,
I just loaded Sonar Artist and having an issue with some of my purchased midi files.  Seems some of the songs that have all the drums in on track, I am unable to hear them.  All other tracks you can hear but not the drum tracks.  I'm very new to all this and trying to figure out why you would not hear them.  I have other files where each drum is on different tracks and they play fine.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  Not sure if I have to change some type of setting or not.

Sorry should have checked my spelling but having the issue of hearing the drums when they are all on one track.  If each drum is on a separate track, you can hear them.  Not sure what the issue might be.

Just to add to some things, the track is not muted and you can see the sound levels moving but not hearing the drums.  You can hear all other instruments.

What synth is playing the drums?

It is set on the microsoft gs wavetable synth.  All the other tracks are playing fine but it seems to be problematic when the drums are all in one track.  I have other files that have each drum on separate tracks and everything is fine.  The weird thing is there are a few songs that I am finding the drums play on even though they are also on one track.  I'm really puzzled.  Don't know a lot about this stuff so any help is greatly appreciated.

You are better off not using the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. A better solution is the bundled TTS-1 soft synth. Deselect the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth in MIDI output devices. When no MIDI output is defined, opened MIDI files will automatically use the TTS-1.
