Yup... can confirm this too. Not only is the Playhead lagging, the rest of the items on screen are also jerky. Looking at the SMPTE clock, we can already see its not counting up smoothly. there seem to also be a lag when using the mouse to Start, Stop and Pause.

However, this behaviour seems to only affect the specific projects which used to have clicks and pops while either moving the mouse over the Clips Pane and or the Track Pane. all other projects are silky smooth.

It would be very nice if some people could update their footers like mine so we can see your system specs. Then maybe we can work out what might people might have in common in terms of hardware/software. (Other people have done it thankyou).

Cheers.

I think now is the time to log the issue, there's more than enough people reproducing it. Please refer them to this thread. It would be nice if you could post the issue number here.

Alex, here is an update I got this from "problem report status" email now :

"The status of your problem report has updated to "Contact Tech Support" with the following notes:

The problem you are experiencing is most likely a system specific problem or a configuration issue that we believe can be resolved with assistance from Cakewalk Technical Support. Unfortunately, as explained in the Problem Report Form, this form does not put you in direct contact with our support staff."

"system specific problem or a configuration issue " ?? whattt? :D
blame the user, right... nothing wrong with my system, playhead worked nice in X3c, playhead Lag introduced in X3d :)

what to do now? :)   contact tech support?
(or maybe try to make some music, this is taking too much energy & time of my already short free time...  )
