I currently have Sonar Producer 3 and I can not figure out how to setup my Maschine Studio to work as a plugin within Sonar.

there is a "DXI" option for Maschine 2, I inserted this as a VST track.. but no matter what I try, I cant seem to get anything to work.

I was thinking of upgrading to the newest Producer and hoping that it may be more advanced and can handle my situation.

would appreciate any help though from Maschine users though

I wouldn't know about a Sonar version that old (did it even support VST?) but in the newer Sonar it's quite possible, though you do have to know what you're doing especially the first time:

It's very easy to simply insert as a plug, it's just when you want to send midi from Sonar and have multiple audio outs that it gets a bit tricky for unexperienced users. YouTube is your friend!

I'm in the same boat and just found this.  This is from Scott Garrigus' DigiFreq forum.  Check the fourth post down from Guitardon:

Best of luck.

Yes that would work for a basic setup. Don't know that that would work in Sonar Producer 3 though.

I have Maschine's 2.2 software and also the current Sonar Platinum......it was a piece of Cake  to set up the VST in Plugin Mgr. (like all the other VST's).

With you having the latest software for Maschine Studio, it might do you well to upgrade Sonar to it's latest version and avoid much of the compatibility pitfalls.
