Hi guys,
just wanted to share my experiences of today..

Actually after X1 was released I went back to Cubase because of stability issues, since I make my living with productions I couldn´t bare the crashes.

Now with Cubase 8 pro things changed again cause I´m having performace problems, like opening 10 tracks and the vsti meter jumps to 40%.

So I decided to give Sonar another try, updated to platinum and produced an trailermusic + sounddesiogn for a filmtrailer today.

And I have to say that it was absolutely easy and fun. I did it with my friend together from the studio next door who is running a logic/mac setup and he couldn´t believe the power and stbility we had today.

So imported the movie, had 16 vsti´s running, several Omnisphere´s, styluses, Kontakt´s and a bunch of FX plugins,
total of 70 tracks,
all with 30% max asio peak at 256 buffer size, that is amazing!

The whole day from 12:00 till 22:00 I had one crash.

So congrats to the Cakewalk team for finally getting there and here I am back to Sonar..

cheers

Yes, Sonar's stability has dramatically improved since X1. Lots of new features have been added, too.

Thanks guys, it's nice to hear positive stories on the forum. All too often it's nothing but moan moan complain.

Good stuff! I'm also really pleased at the stability of X3c and onwards. The only thing that tends to make things shaky somewhat reliably is having a lot of Melodyne instances active simultaneously.
