are any indication of what it takes to force a dropout.

I'm getting audio dropouts all the time at the moment, in SPlat G.

Now then, DO NOT CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING LINK!!!

You have been warned.

I'm having some trouble with SoundCloud and I am having trouble elsewhere posting a link.

As I said... Don't click on it... You'll just end up falling asleep. In fact, this makes anything by Fripp and Eno sound most exciting.

Generally, it's usually the drivers on your sound card not behaving well. Also, have you checked the sample rate on your Quad Capture to see if it matches with what's set in SPlat?

Yep... 44100 all round Mesh...

My Q-C has the lastest system software too, and whatever Windows Ten installed as its driver.

I just click on the X and get on with it... I'm sure one of the upcoming updates will sort it.

cheers

I'm thinking this should be the dedicated drivers from Roland no? (not what Win 10 decided)

Indeed, but if you check out the support page, you get this for the QUAD-CAPTURE:-

Driver for Windows 10

Your computer automatically downloads the Windows(R) 10 driver from the Internet when a product requiring the driver is connected to the computer.
For detailed information about the driver, check "Download File" at the bottom of this page.

* Under normal conditions, the driver installation is completed in several minutes. It may take about 10 minutes depending on the Internet connectivity or if there are other drivers being installed for other devices.
* A problem may have occurred if the device is connected but cannot be used after waiting for 10 minutes. Download the detailed information for the driver and refer to "Troubleshooting."

Also, I was getting the dropouts in W8 too, which is why I am assuming it's the latest SPlat...

That's a bit unusual to see that Roland let's Win 10 to update the drivers......must be a new(er) feature?...IDK.
This regular dropout situation is not a good thing......either the drivers are shoddy and/or there's something else that's interfering with the Q-C (WiFi etc....).

Of note, I found it interesting reading on the compatibility of W10 at the Roland site:

Computer

Windows-compatible PC equipped with USB port
* Intel chipset is recommended.
* The device may not perform to its full specs when used with an added USB 2.0 interface card.
* This product cannot be used with a USB 3.0 port that is not compatible with USB 2.0 specification.
* If this product does not work correctly when connected to a USB 3.0 port, you will need to connect it to a USB 2.0 port.
* Even if connected to a USB 3.0 port, the performance of the product will not change.

LOL
