Good news, all his surgeries were successful and apparently now he has to stay in Hawaii until March (to reroute/reverse a surgery on his privates
as well as physical therapy). There was a misadventure after he got out of the first surgery where the charge nurse forgot to give him pain his meds (and had left for the day) just after the anesthesia wore out (needless to say, the whole ward heard him screaming and he was in tears). Last night he had his collarbone, both wrists/fingers, left knee, and both ankles fixed...all were broken in many places. The man's lucky to be alive.
On the bright side, the Air Force is taking very good care of him and his family with all their expenses, accommodation, and any other needs.
