I show this one to the students in my Computer Music class (6th, 7th, and 8th grade).  They enjoy it quite a bit:

My students always really enjoy that one.  I show it to them when we discuss  improvisation.  They're always floored when I tell them that what Michael (and Randy) played wasn't written down anywhere beforehand.

I'm so bent out of shape that he's gone.  In 2007, my wife had cancer (we actually found the cancer very shortly before Christmas in 2006, but the operation took place in January 2007), my Dad died, my Mom started getting strokes, my stepdaughter-in-law died of cancer (really pneumonia, but that's another story), my other stepson's marriage broke up, and, finally, Brecker and Zawinul passed away.  2007 was rough, but was only the beginning of what was to turn into a three-year odyssey for me.

Very nice!

I must say though, singers never really know what to do when they're not singing, do they?  LOL.

Maybe eph was left speechless?  All of my issues started when my Dad passed away (2003) though I didn't know it then.  They peaked in 2008-9 and things are slowly getting better.  Looks like those were tough years for you as well.

I feel things can only get better now, hopefully for you too!

I know what you mean, for a 17 minute song they could have given him some bongos eh?
