Hi James,

I've always liked the way you play guitar

You always have a real nice tone . You always play simple tasty guitar parts that fit better than anything that would be more complex in a guitar part and you play melodic singing expressive guitar tones....

Ed's Bass playing sounds fantastic in the funky section ..

all the best,

Kenny

Made my day once again Kenny  You've always been very kind about my playing ever since I joined this forum and started posting my tunes. Somehow I've never been able to write or play complex pieces, so I have to play to my strengths (or weaknesses )

I've always liked players with good tone and tasteful phrasing - Knopfler, Steve Rothery from Marillion, Steve Hackett, Bill Nelson etc, and I do my best to try and get somewhere near making memorable melodic guitar parts.

Thanks Kenny.

+1 about Ed's playing too, he took the tune up a notch, as always.

Hey James
long time no listen. I like the use of some more modern elements, and i love the opening riff on guitar!
personally don't feel the included chanting vox fit or are needed. the middle guitar riff surely can't have been on your LP?! bass needs to be a bit more prominent despite  for Ed's playing

Hi Mark, nice of you to drop in! I have a fondness for those Gregorian Chant parts, so they're staying.  Yep, Les Paul throughout on this, that middle section was somewhat inspired by Mirror In The Bathroom by The Beat, bizarrely...

lol it sounds so like a single coil.
playing Mirror in the Bathroom now - yep I hear it! never heard this before - cool band doing something a little unusual with that pop-ska sound
