Hi All, I am hoping to use my Alesis SR-16 drum machine to trigger the sounds in SI Drums in GTPro 4. I don't need it to trigger a whole kit at once, as my kits and patterns are fairly simple and I can record the individual drums on separate tracks if necessary then nudge them into sync (but if I could do a few drums at once that would be cool). Over the years I've gotten used to tapping my patterns into the ol' SR-16, but the sounds are so antiquated at this point. I've gleaned this info from an online tutorial and while I can tell my US-122 is getting the midi signal from the SR-16, it's not triggering sounds in SI Drums: MIDITHRU, Clock Out and Clock In, OFF DRUM OUT: On DRUM In: ONV1 NOTE 036 C1 MIDI CH: 10 Input is set to All Inputs MIDI Ch. 10; I've also tried SI Drum Kit MIDI Ch. 10 Is this possible, and am I just doing some bone-head thing wrong? I'd really like to comfortably tap my patterns into the old SR, and hear the updated sounds of SI Drums. Many thanks!

This is great info---many many thanks and it will no doubt answer more questions when I get past this basic hurdle: I realize that my computer, Dell Inspiron 1545, isn't recognizing the US122 as a MIDI device. Audio I've never had a problem, but it's not showing up in my list of devices for MIDI. Hmm, scratching head, obviously I am a forever noob for pretty much everything but guitars!!!... Oh, I'm running Windows XP
