  • Strange audio dropout. Always in the same places. [SOLVED]

I'm having a problem with audio dropout in a particular project. Oddly, it appears to happen around the same place, bars 40 and 80, each time. I have every plugin turned off, but it still drops out in the same places. It's acting as if there is a read forward plug still in there somewhere because it take a second or two to begin play after hitting start.

I have tried increasing the buffers for playback but still the same. Other projects act normally.

Cheers.

Select all the tracks and bounce to clips all of them, and go for a jog cause it's gonna be a while but lots of scattered clips can be a problem. save the file first if you're nervous.

Cheers bit.
I never thought of that. Will give it a try.

Well, that didn't work.
Same dropout, same places.

Anyone have more ideas?

Here's the weird thing.
No matter where playback is started, it plays for around 40 bars, then drops out.
Restart. Another 40 bars and dropout.

Do you have any demo plugin loaded into that project? Some of them either insert noise or dropout even disabled if the transport is running. iZotope's Vinyl is the odd ball... it is designed to insert noise but does so even when the transport is stopped.

The regular interval makes it seem like a demo may be in that project. Is it the entire project or select tracks doing so?

Maybe some automation data is turning on/off a plugin that uses delay compensation? Also check if one of your audio tracks doesn't contain corrupted audio data at these measures.

have you cleaned the audio folder in utilites ? another thing to try is open the picture catch folder and delete all the goodies in it..
that works for me...
