I know the advice is to keep old versions of Sonar. I currently have X3 and now Platinum. I am using a SSD and would like to free up some space. Looking at my 'add/remove programs' window it says Sonar X3 Producer 7.75GB and nowhere do I see Sonar Platinum, only Command Centre (10.6 MB) Has anyone completely uninstalled their Cakewalk products then reinstalled using Command Centre, with any success?

The only program you can uninstall using the CCC is the new Sonar program and associated content.

most of the 7.75 GIG you say is part of Sonar X3 is actually content that is shared with the current version of Sonar as well. You can move a lot of it but deleting just Sonar X3 will only get you about 2 to 300 mb back. The problem with deleting X3 once Sonar 2015 is installed is that there is a danger that deleting shared content can impact Sonar 2015 unless you specifically know what to keep and what to delete.

I move all content to a 2nd disk.
And the command center stores the files in a way sub folder. I have moved these as well.
And: I put all third party plugs, samples, presets in D:\AudioCommon.
I put all the CW installed stuff (IF ALLOWED) into C:\AudioCommon.

i have a question about this topic. I have used sonar 8.5 then i installed new sonar. But old sonar settings (vsti folder infos vs.) pass to new sonar automatically. But i also reinstall my vsti plugins to new folder. Now i can rescan my vsti? I can see all my stuff but when i want to load them they give me a .dll error. I have added new folder infos to vsti scan option. But new sonar do not rescan them! I have clicked rescan old vsti.
