Thanks Cactus Music. I'll give that manual installation a whirl.

I'm only able to ensure all Windows updates are applied. No idea how to check for C+ or other missing OS files. I can't even tell from these error messages what the prob is. RegSvr32 is supposed to initialize OCS or DLL's. But Stretch.ax is neither judging by the extension.

And on and on...

By chance is Windows completely up to date with maintenance?  If not, I suggest applying all outstanding required/recommended maintenance.

Sorry, Cactus Music, where does one download the files for a manual installation?

If you've already tried installing through CCC then the files will be on your computer.

Manual install caused same results (stretch.ax err msg) But it looks like I WAS able to manually install the 32bit version. So as ChritopherM alluded to it might be a missing or corrupt file or path in the 64bit world. No probs on the desktop.

::: Sigh :::
