I think I had asked this before but I'm getting closer to a senior state of mind, (keep forgetting stuff). Anyway, Every time I bounce a track it gives me unwanted gain. I do have plug-gins in the track but after bouncing I should hear it as it was, not louder. Any suggestions?

It's audio. In general I check everything except: bus/mute solo, bus automation, bus effects.

Mono track? Pan Laws?

Track gain?

I'd love the answer to this too because no one has ever been able to answer this for me.
 

There can be many causes, depending on the circumstances. As stickman suggested, a common one is bouncing a mono track through a stereo bus (i.e. source is Buses) and back to a mono track with Pan Law set to 0dB Center gain instead of -3dB.

What are you selecting as Source Category & Channel Format?
 
Are you running more than one set of output pairs to your interface and also using Entire Mix?
You'll get an extra 6dB of gain for every additional pair when using Entire Mix.
For this reason I always use Main Outs

It is a mono track and the source category is entire mix. I'm confused with what you mean with output pairs? Do you mean two pairs of output drivers? (That's what I have although I'm really just using one).
 
Looks like you hit the nail on the head if it's what I described, (two pair of main outs and entire mix as source catagory).

it is a routing choice.
simply bouncing does not inherently add gain.
 
it is being added by either a fader setting, an eq setting, an FX setting or voodoo.
 
i never discount voodoo.
