I was approached by labartmix saying that they want to be my distributors to itunes, beat port and others after listening to my music on sound cloud. I was wondering has any one ever heard of Labartmix, If so are they the real deal, are they other promoters who offer a better deal 70% - 30%

Please let me know

Thanks

You need to contact a lawyer that knows contract law and is familiar with the music industry. Do not sign anything without consulting him/her.

Never heard of them, but I'm with John on this.  Unless you are an entertainment lawyer in your real life, and in that case why are you asking us? ;-)

But you should get someone else to look at whatever they offer you.  And also if they take their time w/ you to answer questions, etc.

I did some digging - this alleged company charges you 54 Euros fees for creating and managing your profile, and more importantly, these guys don't even use proper grammar or spelling in some of their legal paragraphs.

At BEST, this would be some hack start up - I think they had something like 6 followers, and you have no actual way to KNOW how much revenue is actually generated in sales of your material, other than what they tell you happened.  So, you are basically signing away the financial handling of sales of your work, to a company you do not know, and relying on them to pay you the 70% that is due, but you have NO WAY TO VERIFY the sales numbers being reported to you.

I would walk away from this in a heart beat.
