Tracking date, Say your tracking 10 songs, I always do a save as and delete the files, then create a new session from that. this way if I tweaked the session it will be on the next song. the question I have is? how do you guys do it?

I always start by naming my projects by date and version, like 20180416_a. Then when it develops and I decide on a name for it, I do save as... and give it the name and version e.g. Some_name_f. I keep the original date named versions too so long as I have enough storage space.

I never delete anything. Storage is cheap so I leave a mess behind me.
Gives me a sense of security but I rarely if ever refer to any of those revisions.

Project templates are the standard method, but I now just save blank CWP projects.
Mostly now I use Track templates which can quickly populate a blank new project.

If I'm going to record a live band I make a CWP project that has all the tracks/ inputs/outputs ready to record and save that over and over as many songs/ sets as will be needed. Using "Save AS"  I name each  Song 1 Set 1 etc. put them all in a folder. You can open a lot of projects and minimize them to the bottom. I had 20 open one night.
