I have read it.  That doesn't mean I'll follow it.  I'm critical of cubase 8, too.   Whichever software works best, for a given purpose, I'll use.

That is OK. I just did not want you to be surprised when others do.

So.   I post, in hopes that the software will suit ME.   But I feel pretty sure, or at least kind of thinking, that I am not the only one who approaches the software in the same way.   It is such a simple fix: make the selection module work like the Loop module.

Inconsistency <> bug.
If valid this is an enhancement request.

Pre-X versions would set end=start if you entered a start time greater than the current end. That is clearly a more helpful behavior, and it was probably an oversight as opposed to a deliberate choice that this behavior was not preserved in the X series. On that basis, I'll buy that this is regression bug.

Roll a dice then for outcome....At this stage the OP should be off to the problem reporter and pasting CWBRN here.

respectfully disagree: inconsistency counts as a usability bug

and i love the way you keep using "enhancement" in your recent non-host posts, tho' i'm not quite sure why because there's no such thing as the "enhancements forum" - are you pitching for a cakewalk marketing job or what? ;-)

i did (surprise!) and (to me) it says troubleshoot here in this forum and then move to relevant forum if necessary, rather than troubleshoot elsewhere (sonar forum) then move here once verified/reported/numbered... just ambiguous guidelines i suppost but generally (and especially in technology) the author should aim to avoid being misunderstood (as apposed to being understood) unless ambiguity is a goal like in poetry etc

Yup I had raised it and they said they were going to correct it but it never happened. Anyway that's for forum discussion forums..
