I just installed X3e on a new laptop I received...

All seems well except that Session Drummer 3 fails to load...

I've re-run my vst scans choosing to scan failed and all other plugins... So far all the others I've tried seem to load ok... Just not session drummer?

I tried doing another vst scan opening x3 as administrator, but that changed nothing either...

Anyone have any thoughts, Ito, or ideas?

I'll give it a try. I guess I was lucky when I installed it on my main DAW as I experienced no problem there...

I'm a bit surprised as I thought the redistributables got installed during the x3 install...

...but this is my first Win8, so maybe that's part of the reason...

Do you think I should upgrade it to 8.1?

i cant seem to download the redeistributeable c files from the microoft link in the faq... it will not start...
 
but why do i need this? i seem to remember Sonar doing this as part of the install. could i rerun the install only for session drummer and get this to happen again?

Did it circumvent the stupid start screen by any chance? What changes make it better? Stars know it needs a lot of that! ;-)

I finally lucked out last night and managed to download and install the c++ runtime and Session Drummer is now working... Now to find a replacement mouse as the touch tablet on this machine is horrible (Asus)...
