To be honest I think all this "manual" and "workaround" stuff defeats the point of the stated purpose of the CCC. Which was to provide limited options but make sure everything works with minimal user input.

I don't really understand why we had to manually add impulses last month and if this becomes a regular thing I will just let most content pass me by. I appreciate goodies but with updates this frequent, I'll go crazy if I have to figure out some manual installation everytime for something that I may or may not use. Twice, too, to keep things in sync with my laptop.

To my knowledge, there are no manual or workaround requirements for a C3 install of Cambridge.

I believe Cakewalk did not want to bulk up the user preset area of REmatrix automatically. So instead of populating the database, they provided the IRs and a discussion of how to manage the user preset area. User preset management is not a strong feature of REmatrix Solo.

Rapture has had a history going back many years of ignoring registry redirection.

Rapture doesn't install the samples Scook it's the install routine supplied with the package... Regardless it's 2015, asking for installers that refers to existing stored file paths in the registry ... Well you really shouldn't have to ask.

I never had an issue until now.

Am I misunderstanding this whole Les Paul/DimPro thing? I thought it didn't work properly for a bunch of folks here and they've been busy sorting it with the included manual?

Don't know which 3rd party libraries you have installed or how long you have used Rapture. I have walked more than one user through moving misplaced Rapture data. There are a variety of routines (if you prefer that term of art) currently used to install samples for Rapture. These routines all have their roots with Cakewalk but are supplied by a variety of software vendors. The age of the install routine matters too because the Rapture registry entry has been renamed a while back. While it would be nice for all the install routines to respect the current registry, they do not, even in 2015. Knowing a way which guarantees a correct result is good enough for me. I don't have to ask all the vendors to fix their routines. But I won't complain should the install routines get updated.

Yes, you are misunderstanding the issue. The Les Paul package installs OK but there is a cosmetic issue WRT the layout of the Multisample component. I actually did bother to reorganize it...it took a couple of minutes to rebuild the programs.

Right, sorry, I thought people were saying it didn't work to begin with. Regardless, I feel that if you provide a one option, "this is how we install it because it works" control center, it should be more painless than it is now. I don't care for the way we had to add the impulses, personally.

Do I sense a pattern here?

The initial release was code named "Allston"

I'll take that as a yes!!

@Sanderxpander: I also find the present method of loading user IR files into ReMatrix a little, well I'll come out and say it, a lot of BS!

I can see why Overloud wanted to go that route. To get users to upgrade to the full version. Although it is a great little addition to Splat, I will just use other programs I have for loading my IR instead of going through all the mess to load the room ( or Church, hall, on and on...) IR I want to use with ReMatrix.

I doubt the motivation was to encourage upgrades.  Overloud has always imported IRs into their products rather than reading them from a user defined directory. With REmatrix they took it one step further placing the IRs in a SQLite database.
