Hi guyz , just want your inputs about some that is starting to get on my nerve seriously : sonar platnum maintenance

Here's the deal ...

The first time i installed sonar plat , it was via the Control Center ..i then discovered that it was ut on the defaul C: default location

I then uninstalled it and reinstalled it in my D drive (Audio/ Daw/Cakewalk/ sonar platnum...)

everytime i install an update manually .... i don't have it updated in the control center until i do it again via the control cenetr , i undestood then that the control center still uses the default location where a version of sonar still exist and this is the one it cheks !!!

WTF !!!

I mean can't we just have a simple way to do what we want , the way we want it ..if i wanted this type of crap i would have gone Mac ....osx

So sonar plat now update , but not shoiwing upadted in the CC

Craig suggested that for those that have non default installations to not use the CCC as the individual installers allow you to select locations unlike using the CCC.

When it comes to updates the eZine that comes with each release specifies what needs to be updated and downloaded. Until CCC is more sophisticated perhaps this is the best way to just avoid the headache.

By the way , while the playback have been improved , this release is so slow i can't beleive it , opening a blank project even have gui glitch before going normal , i just insreted Maschine 2 template multitimbrales and it take 4 min  to insert on mys ssd evo based system

Sonar X1 = 20 sec

Your problem is not related to Splat in any way.

I suggest you start by listing your system specs and exact symptoms of the problem.

I can see that over time there will be the 2 camps here, those of us who ignore Command Centre and those who it works fine for. At least we have the option.
I did my first install from Command Centre but have not opened it since. I skipped the Braintree version and will download the new update off site to my laptop and see if that is the simpler path to take.
The CC to me seems to be a new fangled Cell Phone type app. Sonar will be just as annoying as Firefox with monthly updates. We'll see how long this lasts. Anything that distracts you for even 3 minutes from working is not a good plan.

What are you doing here?

My start-up time is 10 seconds faster with Platinum. YMMV! I personally think not putting it on the system drive is a bad idea, but I am sure you have good reasons for installing it elsewhere.

yep i think i'm gonna skip the Center ....but at least it could detect the correct version ....the center is good to keep informed on witch versions f products we have .....

Anyway , this update is a no go for me and i start to freak out about the optimisiation of Sonar , for real ....i'm still on X1 and it's so more lighter , it's not even funny

By the way MY PROBLEM IS related to Platnum as Sonar X1 is working like a beast , if a guy can't feel the diffrence between at least this relase and the last one simply on interface response , i suggest he stay out technical code related discussion ....

Specs are I 4790 , 16gb of ram , 2 ssd 1TB evo ....molten muse ....thing is a beast and optimised , sonar X1 working super smooth , Plat (last vesrion) =no go ...

Waiting for the next update as i did , since X1 (i own X2 and X3 by the way)

I must again point out that the playback engine has been better in this release

EDIT : i hope i've not been to rude , but there's a lot of people posting comments or answer without really thinking about it deeply
a video is on its way , b the way , and another one that shows even stwitching screen sets is instant in X1 and laggy in Paltnum ...
