I often use the numeric keypad for nudging notes on the Piano Roll but I don't use Quantize very often. I've just discovered that after selecting a group of notes and applying Quantize, the Nudge facility doesn't work unless I de-select and re-select the notes.

I can't reproduce a problem in X3e x64. The only think I can think that could be an issue is if your selection included a note that quantized to 1:01:000, and you tried to nudge everything earlier.

Same behaviour in Sonar X2 (both x32 and x64). Works properly in Sonar 7 though.

Nudging still works using the menu but not with the numeric keys.

I've tested it out on dozens of different selections. The selected notes won't respond to nudging left, right, up or down via the keypad.

Sounds like you've enable Enhance Keyboard Editing. NumKey 0 toggles it on/off. If you see a small bar in the active track, it's enabled - that's the cursor. As of X3, the tool icons for the different Enhanced Editing modes are no longer shown which makes it harder to notice it's enabled.

I'm not pressing 0 at all. Only 1/4/7 for left. 3/6/9 for right, 2 for down and 8 for up.

To clarify:

STEPS:
Select some notes in PRV
Press any of the numkeys (excluding 0 or 5)
Result: notes are nudged as expected
Press Q to activate Quantize (or use the menu instead)
Apply Quantize
Result: after quantize, notes remain selected
Press any of the numkeys (excluding 0 or 5)
EXPECTED RESULT: notes move
ACTUAL RESULT: no change
 

Strange. I still can't reproduce that; nudge continues to work on selected notes after quantizing without reselecting.
