Maybe I need to read the manual. I've never heard of "Enhanced Editing".

Enhanced keyboard editing mode turns the numkeys into navigation/selection/editing controls. It never really caught on so you don't hear much about it. Inadvertently hitting 0 on the numkey pad is the most common cause of losing nudge control.

Did you mean that link, if so are you teasing? It's this thread.

I don't believe that Enhanced Mode has been activated in this case, otherwise pressing any of the numkeys would probably have some effect rather than do nothing. Anyway Nudge will always start working again after I select something via the mouse.

If nobody but me can reproduce the problem, then maybe this thread should be moved out of the Problem Reports forum.

I won't be able to check this until tomorrow. But as far as I could tell everything that didn't involve the number keypad seemed to be working.

Yes. All the menus work. All the keyboard shortcuts seem to be operational too, except for Nudge via the numkeys. I've now assigned two other keys, Y and U, for Nudge2 Left & Right and they work when the numkeys don't.

I cant even record because I cant nudge
also the green magnetic bar used to snap when moved
it is now dead so when I place a drum track it is always a little out of sync
this is definitely a glitch in sonar...........................
can someone give me the settings in the snap
I have tinkered with them so much I cant remember the original settings
I am dead in the water until this is fixed

Nudge is working fine here, but I use it rarely. Why can't you record without it? Describe the circumstance in which its not working. Are you nudging MIDI clips or individual notes or audio? What values do you typically have set? Do the menu options work when the NumKeys don't? Did you check for Enhanced Editing Mode being enabled by hitting NumKey 0?
 
Things to watch out for when snap seems not to be working as expected (assuming it's enabled):
1. Magnetic strength too low.
2. Landmarks inadvertently enabled
3. To/By mode set to By (especially in the PRV where it defaults to By in projects created before it was added in X3)
