Howdy...
is it possible to set defaults in Pro Channel to the console emulator?

I'd like to have it default to console emulator (N type) and the EQ only.....

Thanks for advice....

Set up the modules the way you want, then right-click in an empty space in the ProChannel. From the context menu, select "Set Modules as Default for Tracks." When you create a track, it will have the ProChannel default you specified.

I just tried that here but it didn't save the console type and defaulted to S-type.

Yes, you're right. What I described loads the modules for the tracks. If you want to save a particular set of parameter values for the modules, including type for the Console Emulator, then you need to save a preset and load that. However, it takes more clicks to load a preset compared to one click on the N-Type button if the default modules have already been loaded.

Another option is to populate tracks with the modules you want, then save as a template.

It is possible to have those modules load by default but I do not believe it is possible have the Console Emulator default to N-Type. I usually set the console emulator after all the tracks are added by quick grouping. It gets me most of the way there because there are always a few tracks added later which have to be changed individually. Templates on the other hand can have the Console Emulation set just they way you want.

Hey Y'all!!! thanks a lot!!

Craig ... that's very true as to trading one for the other... I've set up basic templates for the conditions most used including Pro Channel ("N" for most, "S" for drums, typically) ...it's when I add synths, or additional audio tracks...

Thanks for the feedback bluzdog...

Take Care!

Thanks scook!!!

that's what I'll do...and Craig ... it set up with just EQ and Emulator ... that saves deleting the tube drive and compressor that were default before...

Thanks Again ...Issue Solved!

Quick Grouping is extremely useful with the Console Emulator.

Huh, I really need to do that since 90% of the time I also delete those two.
