I purchased lifetime SPlat, but have not download or installed it yet. Now I want to go to CbB and would like to be smart about what I can grab from SPlat to augment CbB. What procedure would work best? Maybe install CbB then download/install only SPlat plugs? Some variation of this plan?  Advice Appreciated! I am currently running X3e producer.

CbB has no instruments I would suggest you install S-Plat and then install CbB.  CbB will then see all the stuff that came with S-Plat and you can use in CbB.

We have always installed the older versions first and then the newer version otherwise you could end up overwriting the new coding with old.

Are you sure CbB comes with no instruments Wookie?  There are two files.  One is Cakewalk and the other is Artist Instruments.  It is recommended you do NOT install that file if you have Sonar Artist or higher installed already.

As they said, install Splat first, then CbB.  You'll be able to retain 3rd party plugins by directing your plugin manager to the right paths.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Can I get away with installing only the most recent version of SPlat, (SPlat 23.10.0.14/plugs 1.0.0.10) or do I need to install all the previous versions in order?

You just need the most recent version, as it has all the updates from previous versions.

I seriously would not hesitate to download "everything" that is yours. I don't mean all the plat exe's, I mean the extras and serial numbers and reg numbers, etc, etc

My error MidiBoy, I think you get the SI Instruments and TTS-1 but not Dim Pro etc.
