I have a couple of questions.
 
I renamed my AUD.INi folder, and it immediately helped the audio quality.   But that was short-lived.  It started to sound bad again fairly quickly.   I noticed that after renaming it, it made a new AUD.INI folder.   So I have the new folder and the one I renamed.  Is that normal?   If so, then what is the benefit of renaming it if it only goes back to what it was?
 
Second question.
 
I'm thinking of going to an iMac.   If I do - and I download the Sonar Mac version - can I use my current songs and have them work?  I'm just tired of dealing with Windows.

The AUDI.INI File is the initialisation file for Audio in SONAR without it SONAR will not run so the answer to your question is yes.  There is an advantage in renaming it as it cleans it up if you have changed Audio Interfaces.

The AUD.INI file is not going to really cause problems provide some details on your System and we may be able to assist. 

Regarding the MAC version it is not a full version just as far as they got with help.

The audio (mainly vocals) sound weird.   I have the same issue when the picture cache folder becomes too full, and it causes the audio to sound horrible.   I have done clean installs many times, which allows the audio to sound normal again.  But this time the weirdness remains, and I can't fix it.   It sounds really middy, kind of processed and flat, not natural sounding.
