Hi Sonar friends,
 
How can I play two VSTis Synth with the same keyboard controller at the same time where one vsti ignores sustain pedal cc and the other accept it?
 
I was trying to play a piano preset vsti together with other string preset vsti but all pedal playing was also received by the strings!
 
Is there a way of filtering out pedal damper information to just one specific vsti and leave it on with another vsti?

Sonar comes with MIDI plugins. One is called MIDI Event Filter. That may meet your needs.

I wonder if the preset for the strings has a mechanism for turning that off for itself.

John is correct, that will solve your problem. Insert it in the track hosting the VSTi where you want to filter out the information.

You might want to make a note of doing that, so you know where to change it if you want to end up having sustain on the strings at some point.

I have added the midi plugin on the vsti track and selected cc 64 from 0 to 127 but it is still receiving the pedal information. Any help? Thank you.

That would be an audio track. Try it in the MIDI track. It also has an FX bin.

I inserted the midi fx into the midi track not in the audio track. Then I
selected the Controllrers by marking the little square and move the little
arrows up and down to #64 which is the pedal  cc number. Maybe I am doing
something wrong in the selection.

Finally I made it.
 
I discovered how the midi filter works. It is the opposite of I thought. LOL
