Let the censorship continue...or at least the faithful non-questioning of the experts opinions...

??????

<irony>
And let us judge people on who they are rather than what they write, attempt to rewrite people's words, force people to use our workflow because we don't like it any other way, and continue editing quotes so people's opinions are made to look imbalanced, so we can happily compare them to being Nazi's .

You used every trick in the book, fair play to you - but of course my argument wins because it is the actual truth rather than dancing around the subject, judging others or attempting to alter or censor what is said... rather I engaged in the discussion.

You know I would respond but it's pointless at this point.

I have better things to do than quibble over linguistic phrases and implied EULA violations.

Wrong...again. Nothing has been censored. Everyone has been free to express opinions, and in your case, misstatements of fact. And BTW you failed to point out any factual errors in what I've posted.

I presented a solution to what Mr. Copper wanted to do, which appears similar, if not identical, to SoundCloud's solution. If after my post he had simply said "Ok, I'll upload without using SONAR, but register a complaint with Cakewalk and/or SoundCloud to see if this can be changed in the future," the thread would have been marked "solved" and would have ended.

It was your post #16 whose negativity provoked a not surprisingly negative reaction. You're the one who decided to put a whole other spin on this:

"I don't really give a rip how he created it, it is lame, bs and troublesome that Sonar inserted something into the file...what other kinds of crap is this program doing? The more and more I see this kind of non-professional bs from the bakers, the more and more inclined I am to take my 15 years of being a faithful Cakewalk user and go somewhere else...this is unprofessional to say the least."

I have no problem with William Copper. I can tell by this thread he has a considerable flair for drama. That's consistent with the music he makes. I could even argue that it's important for someone who does want to make interesting music to have at least some sense of drama. Granted, he failed to show where I accused him of breaking the law because I never did, but I file that in the "Drama" folder as well.

The bottom line is I contributed a solution. William Copper contributed by researching the issue with SoundCloud, brining awareness to something that apparently no one had either cared about or noticed before, and inspiring extensions to the original premise. What you've contributed is self-evident.

Agreed, not to bang my drum Craig (OK I am) but you overlooked #61 and #71 (which is the crutch of the matter).
Cheers...

You mean it doesn't do the tag or it was just a non starter?

Cheers..

couldn't get cubase to upload at all... :/ they use api calls to the website instead of a microapp, so that may have been broken on the soundcloud end.

Thanks for clarification....
As soon as somebody finds an app that uploads without a tag then the sooner we can conclude the created_with tag is not required (see my post #71) and therefore Cakewalk could change the current behaviour via an enhancement request.

However at this stage I think it's extremely likely that it is enforced and therefore no change is likely to happen.
We all know the workaround anyway.
