Does anyone have any idea of how I can disable the multidocking function completely when i don't want it?... I spend too much editing time closing or undocking things as I move them around my desktop ... it's really becoming very annoying ... further to that, when i double clik on tracks to edit, the multidock pops  open with the loop function pre loaded ... when I want things I'll SELECT THEM! until i do, i don't want things automatically happening ... GRRRRRRRR !

Thanks for the reply ... Your kidding me?  They better come up with an option to turn this on and off or I'm done with Sonar for good.. it's a complete time waster as far as im concerned ... don't give me options that I can't select or deselect...you don't know what i want or when... so stop trying to tell me what options i need... dickhead programmers!

If you take 2 minutes to explain what it is you are trying to do within Sonar there's probably a way of doing that which may or may not involve the multidock.....

I do it like this:

I open something I don't need at the moment, say the piano roll, and undock it using the double-window icon on the right of the multidock. The multidock now disappears (Strangely, draggîng the tab off the multidock does not work).

I then reduce the piano roll and I now have a bit more usable height for the track view.

But don't close the piano roll because the multidock comes back.

There was a hint of sarcasm in my reply... D for D*ckhead.

On a non-sarcastic note, D and SHIFT D will help you manage the state of the active dock by either, minimizing, restoring or maximizing it.

Well,  i feel your pain,  but keep in mind the whole idea behind the Multidock thing is so you don't have to spend anytime moving things around on your desktop.  Just hit a key and boom...you are there.  Same with screensets. I believe Fastbikerboy has help video(s) on this.

Double clicking on a track should not cause the multidock and/or loop function to open.  You might have the Multidock  pulled too large or something strange.  Play with your setup then save to a screenset.  You might need to spend sometime with the manual or some tutorial.   Once you get this figured, chances are you will  be very happy with the new workflow.

I have mine configured with Sonar Plus totally hiding the dock...

I have the PRV set to open in it's old-style mode (I forget the letters, but it's something like MSI)

I also setup the CV so that it's as large as my screen...

I had to remove each from the dock and then adjust it's settings, then hide the dock with plus...

It stays that way now...
