  • How to install Braintree and all other updates?

I am looking on a What's New page and it has a lot of stuff. http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Whats-New but no links to download anything.

I look under "My Products" in "My account" and only see few titles but nothing called a Braintree or other updates. I opened Command Center- it said- it has new version. So I let it update itself. It has all kind of stuff with orange dot next to it which looks like it was not downloaded. However- the reason I did not download everything that came with Sonar Platinum in the first place is that I was updating from Sonar X3 and a lot of those things were already installed. For example- Command Center offers me to install Rapture, Dimension Pro, Melodyne- I already have it but it is not able to detect that I already have it. So how do I suppose to know what to install?

This is what I have under "My Products":
    Classic Creative FX Suite
    Engineering FX Suite
    Studio Instruments Suite
    Artist Instrument Collection
    Platinum Instrument Collection
    Studio Mixing FX Suite
    Cakewalk Loopmasters Content Collection
    Cakewalk Sample Magic Content Collection
    Cakewalk X-MiX Content Collection
    Boutique FX Suite
    Cakewalk Sound Center
    SONAR Help and Tutorials
    Anderton Collection
    Boz Digital Labs ProChannel Collection
    NYC Showroom Impulses
So how come I dont have the Braintree, "New Impulse Responses for REmatrix Solo", REmatrix Solo, The New Control Bar and everything else from January, February and March (if any)? I do not have an assistant or intern that will keep up with all the different titles you post. The names and titles should be easy to recognize and easy to track. I can not find anything. This makes no sense. Would you not expect big bold link to the Braintree? Why do I have to spend evening haunting? Thanks to anybody who can help me find it.

My CC showed up with your list, but there was yellow (I think, not red) on some of those items.  NYC showroom impulses are the, impulses for overloud, I believe.  ETC.  You don't have to download stuff you already have.

Open the command centre. Assuming the DAW is online, after it goes through the "checking for updates" stuff when it launches it switches to the main window.

Clicking oion the Sonar icon on the left will open it up to show the compnents installed/not installed/waiting for update to be installed.

Anything green is installed and doesn't have an update waiting for it.
Anything red is either not installed or installed but not using the command centre (e.g. Rapture and DimPro from earlier installations which the controil center doesn't know about).
Anything in yellow has an update available and you get an "update" button in the right hand window. Right click on the Sonar "light" and in the right hand window you will be told the version installed. Mine says "Braintree" then the build number.

If Braintree hasn't been installed the Sonar "light" should be yellow. Braintree is not shown as a seperate download but is the name for the updated Sonar build.

You shouldn't need to go searching for updates etc., the control centre should be handlng that autimatically.

Ok, I was beginning to "get" it. Thanks for the help. It does say, "Braintree update 1". So the REmatrix Solo is the Prochannel module, not the FX... And I dont see new Control Bar. My control bar already had transport on a side of display, not under it- was it supposed to happen with the Braintree update? I installed no updates since September... I guess it is good enough. Thanks for the clarification. I think Command Center needs to be able to scan for installed products as Native Instruments control center does. I dont like it that it "does not know" about 80% of itself already installed.

This color scheme is great unless you are color blind or partially color blind like I am.  In my case red and green look alike. I much rather it stated installed or upgrade available.  This should happen after the Command Center scans your HD for Cakewalk products.

I think NI has a better system for upgrades than Cakewalk does right now.  Hopefully this will change.

Mario, when you're out driving, would you mind posting what roads you'll be on so we can consider alternate routes?

Red/green colourblindness isn't a problem when driving as the red and green traffic lights don't use the same lens. At least not in the UK.There's also a third light (amber) between them which helps in telling them apart. Or so a red/green colourblind acquaintance tells me.

The X series has had some criticism in the past for not being exactly visual impairment friendly. I suggest you open a thread on this point, it might attract some attention to the problem from the developers.

Remember when you were taught defensive driving and to watch out for the other guy?

Well I'm the other guy

It's the same here.  The only time I have problems with traffic lights is when there are other distracting lights like at night in a big city or when Christmas lights are strung in towns.  Then My wife drives.

When coming to a blinking single lens red green lights I have to look for stop signs.

Thanx for the suggestion.  I just posted this problem on a new thread.
