So, I was immediately psyched when I saw Craig had created a Vox Tools FX Chain for Sonar Platinum.

This is the first time I've had a need for the plossive correction in the tool... check this out...

Kinda cool, right?

Here it is in context...

haha, that refrain is a PPPerfect example of watch-out-for-plosives. Yep, Vox Tools to the rescue. Alternatively, you could have jiggled the lyrics: "Was the son of a MIN-I-ster guy...."

It's super-gratifying when someone finds something I've done useful. Thanks for the kind words.

Craig, I was reading you column in sound on sound and realizing how fortunate this community to have all your knowledge ere to assist beyond the SOS.  I was also thinking... Damn... suppose he moves on to Pro Tools....   then what???  LOL

I use Pro Tools from time to time when working on other peoples' projects. I have nothing against it, but I find SONAR to be a very relaxing, non-stressful environment. That's why it's frustrating when some people post about a horrible problem they're having, because I know it doesn't have to be that way.

<shameless self-promotion>

I'm using one instance of VoxTools on the vocal bus and all of the guitars are exclusively using Craig's new amp sims (four total) on this tune:  http://forum.cakewalk.com/New-song-Every-Now-and-Then-m3192549.aspx

Thanks, Craig!

You're welcome! But I find it interesting that I can't identify which amp sims you're using. You'd think I could pick them out...I suspect the right channel solo is the Hard Rock one, and the one on the left High Gain...I think that just goes to show that the guitar, the player, and the "touch" have more to do with the sound than the sim itself. Which is how it should be
