  • CTD from track selection

I setup a MidiTrk pointing to a DrumMap. I then added a TTS-1 to provide the drum instrument and updated the drum map to point to that instance of the TTS-1. Cleaning things up later on, I removed that TTS-1 from the synth browser and saved the file. I didn't think about updating the drum-map so it was still pointing at the deleted TTS-1. I saved the file.

Selecting the track causes a CTD with an exception not handled error. Most of the error msg is blocked by subsequent msgs about the program being closed and the Fault Reporter prompts. Loading the saved file, re-creates the CTD when selecting that track, though the project loads OK.

Which reminds me, the Fault Reporter does not appear to be working either. It almost always times out with a 'No connection' error . I've only seen about 1 or 2 Fault msgs get sent over the course of the 10 or so CTD's I've had this month.

Is this validated? The above link points to this thread.

Can I give an example on a clear format of how to report a bug step by step, you can go ahead and report it in problem reporter if you like, but this forum really is about validating your issue so Cakewalk developers will know it's valid and not system specific:
http://forum.cakewalk.com/CWBRN25395-Nudging-note-events-in-take-lanes-doesnt-work-properly-m3023030.aspx

We need steps from a new project. If the issue doesn't get validated in these forums this thread will simply get locked or moved out into Sonar forums for troubleshooting...

Cheers..

OK, I understand. I'll go to the sonar forum generally and send the projects, files, scrn dmps, and mini-dmps here only once things repeat across restarts of the program.

So do you have steps to repro or can this be moved into the Sonar forums?

Thanks..

Pop it to the forums. If I get curious or see it again then I'll update the general forum and post a PReport.
