  • What do you think about future features coming to Platimum?

I think that the features listed in the what's up next in Platinum are going to be the extent of the big features that we're going to see for the first year cycle on the new membership plan. They will finish putting these out through the course of the year. Scattered in there will be samples and other throw away (YMMV) content. I made the decision to get in on the ground floor of the membership plan to stay current, not knowing what to expect. But if this will be what to expect, I can wait and see before renewing for year 2 of the membership program. It was actually the XLN offer that helped me make the decision to upgrade, because I was happy with X3.

Personally I'm happy for any new features, but the most important things for me are in order:

1.  Bug Fixes
2.  Workflow enhancements
3.  Performance improvements (Though performance is pretty good right now.)
4.  Additional native features
5.  Additional content

I'd be happy if they just continued to fix bugs, anything else is gravy.  (Of course YMMV).

Same here - I would say you got the order right too.

I normally would say that I'm all for bug fixes... but a lot of the ideas in the 'Features & Ideas' forum are really great.
Also...
I also am really really curious about the new drum replacement feature. I just got Trigger 2 and have just started using it on incoming projects with poorly recorded drums and have been having fun with it (sometimes getting incredible results)... but using it's midi out or the midi generated from Melodyne isn't accurate enough to really use the included XLN Addictive Drum VSTi without going in and individually moving around every midi note...

I'm curious if Sonar will give us a sample accurate way of sound/drum replacing with Addictive drums. That would be really really cool for me.

Same here! (I would give the same priority to 2 and 3 however). (1) should have 60% resources spent on it , (2) and (3) 30%. The rest 10%... When most bugs are fixed that could be reviewed.

You will notice the most popular enhancements requested in features and ideas forum are to do with workflow.

Good thread!

+1
Also pretty much what I told in survey they had a few days ago.

I think it's very bold of Cake to have this future glance.
One of many things I like about Cakewalk.
