Edit-  I changed my mind after reading more about these issues.. I have re installed it. And thanks to Scook I got my PVR theme back. So ignore my rant. Water under the bridge.

First I saw nothing new or improved over what I already have. I really hated the new PVR. Why of all things that were wrong with Sonar did they choose to change something that didn't need changing. I've never read of anyone complaining about the way the PVR looked!

Then the Bandlab assistant becomes a nag screen that keeps popping up. Seems no way to disable it. So I uninstalled it too.
It also showed as being third from the top of the list of background apps using memory.
Typical shareware syndromes.

And a warning. When you un install it - very much sharing files with your original Sonar so don't let it nuke those files.
I am so disappointed that they didn't release something different. I don't like the way this is a  lame duck "update" of what we already have and invasive to my system.

Well it is the early release version. I gave you a solution to the dark PRV in tungsten here. A new theme editor will follow if you wish to make any other changes.

This issue is being work on. The discussion thread is here. Use the quit option on the BA menu (gear in the upper left of the UI) to shut it down for the session.

Yes, in the end it is a version of SONAR. From my understanding 2017.11 with some adjustments made as a result of the sale. Not sure what else Noel and Ben could create in the time provided.

Thanks for that info,
I'm optimistic that this will change down the road but I've never been one to jump on every update that came along.

Leave it to some people to complain about free software.

Personally I am delighted there is a dark piano roll. I always wanted a dark background like FL Studio and this was one of the things I disliked about Sonar. I haven’t downloaded yet but I am this evening. I always felt the Piano Roll in Sonar wasn’t as intuitive as the one in Reason or FL Studio. It’s a powerful Piano Roll with lots of functionality. Don’t get me wrong. However the white background made it look like an Excel spreadsheet.

I'm not complaining, I just don't see the point in using it at this time, certainly down the road there will be more meat on the bone.

Admittedly, it's got no more meat on the bone than what you have at the moment but, unlike Sonar, it's supported and all that for free. It works properly. What else do you want?
