Just looking at the pricing it seems as though Platinum is an upgrade price from Artist or Sonar Professional to Sonar Platinum and Gold is the same as just buying the full version of sonar platinum.
I don't see anything about Gold on the Cakewalk site. I could be wrong though. Maybe the steampowered site is on their own program with the pricing tiers?
