The Platinum uninstallers removed the components it installed. This is no different than any prior version of SONAR. Removing a newer version will render an older version unusable requiring the older version be reinstalled.

I don't know who you are, user splat,  but the answer you first provided was NOT a thread, it was an excerpt from a search, with no links.      Respond more slowly, and more helpfully.

You need to chill out. and perhaps you'll get some help.
You have another thread with misinformation in it (that you put in) and a very nasty title in gigantic letters?

GAH! I wonder if I'd read this first, I wouldn't be where I am. If any of you have the time can you take a look a this http://forum.cakewalk.com/Platinum-x64-Clean-Install-Shared-Paths-Issue-m3193462.aspx and tell me if following the above will help resolve the issue please. Thanks.

Not an expert by any means, but seems to me the advice to edit the registry might make sense.  Or, since it's a new computer, perhaps even start over with a fresh windows install?  (I know, I hate to read that advice, but at least you'd get a clean registry that way).   Then the platinum installer, NOT through Cakewalk Command Center, will allow you to specify drives and paths.
