  • Bottom of plug in list cut off in console view

When I open up the plug in list in the console view, the bottom is cut off so, the scroll arrow at the bottom is not accessible. Of course, that makes it impossible to access all my plug ins. It displays just fine in the track view BTW.
I run the console view on a second monitor. I have tried running the console view in the multi dock and not in the multi dock (Floating). This was never a problem in X3, it just started in Platinum.
I have installed all the updates.
Any ideas?

So, am I the only one having this problem? Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? It was fine in X3.

Hey Rod, check your screen resolution settings in each monitor. Seems to me your settings may be too low. Go for the highest resolution your monitors and graphics card(s) will accept. That alone should get everything on-screen for you.

Thanks overdub: I have it set at the highest resolution. 1600X900. It won't accept anything any higher. My main monitor (With the track view) is at 1920X1080.

How about your font/icon size settings? Are they set above 100% ?  Any kind of zoom or magnification going on? A longshot idea: ctrl/scroll zoom in and out > I doubt that would affect SONAR but we're reaching at straws now. Stumper alert!

Anyone have any more ideas on this problem. It makes it impossible to add plug ins in the console view (busses) because I can't see them all and the list will not scroll. This is a real issue.
One thing, my main monitor is connected via HDMI and my secondary monitor (the one I'm having the issue with) is connected via DVI. Can this be a problem?

I have seen where some people were having some issues using a second monitor. Try dragging it on the main monitor and see if it persists. It related to display drivers I believe where they were having issues.

teego: I will try that. Also, I'm pretty sure that my display drivers are up to date but, I will check.

I have this same problem with using a 42" Visio TV for my second monitor.  It's resolution is 1080...and my main monitor is a 28" computer monitor with 1280 resolution.

My fix is to use the inspector for adding audio FX.  I just highlight the track I want to add the FX to and then do it in the inspector window.

Thanks Teds_Studio: At least there's a workaround. I had not thought of that.
