Hi there, I'm using Sonar X2 Producer and have a number of songs in one project, each song on an individual stereo track.  The "songs" are actually very short, 15 seconds or so each.  I'd like to string them together, end-to-end, (I think of this as "appending") and wind up with one track, containing in essence a "medley" of those short songs.  I can accomplish this the long way by copying a track, moving to end of next track, pasting, etc...  However, I'm wondering if there isn't a built-in feature of Sonar that could accomplish this automatically?

Thanks a bunch for any suggestions or ideas...

I used to slap together mixes for my then wife's group exercise classes, and would put each song at the end of the prior, but on a separate track.  That made things easier for me to make slight adjustments to starts and ends of joined tunes, to get rid of dead space or otherwise find good places to move from one to the other to stay on beat.

There may be a better way, but I didn't really have any trouble doing the above - it was super quick, and worked every time just fine.

Bob's method is what I would use as well. A clip is a "window" into the underlying sound file, so it is easy to scoot the left/right edges and slide the clips around at will when they are on separate tracks.

To make the "final medley," when you are satisfied with things, you can select all of the tracks you want to include in the medley and in the Track View go to "Tracks->Bounce to Track(s)" Check the Help on that pop-up screen if unsure, but you can simply bounce the entire mix into a single track (i.e. single audio file).
