I'm curious about this.
When using X3 & exporting an audio track using certain plugins it results with artifacts that need to be trimmed off the front of the track.

If I import that track then export the wav again slightly trimmed (without any options selected, only 24b)
will anything change in the file besides the size, any quality loss?

The bit rates for both remain the same so I assume not.

Corrrect, there should be no loss on re-import/export, so long the sample rate and depth remain the same.

But you should figure out where the artifacts are coming from. Sounds like a buffer is not getting cleared and is getting included in the export. I thought the Bakers had eliminated that issue some time ago, but maybe a plugin is holding on to its own internal buffer or something. Try enabling Always Stream Audio Through FX in preferences, and/or let the FX tails play out at the end of the project before stopping the transport and exporting. It might help to disable Stop At Project End in track view options.

This is typical when I use certain oversampling or sample rate conversion plugins.
I have both Project End/ Always Stream enabled. Sometimes I can flush them out by enabling on/off, archiving the track or closing, re-opening the project but it doesn't always work.

Not a huge issue, just annoying.
Thanks for your help.
