I'm looking for some help trying to figure out why when I drag a WAV file onto an Audio track the sample is showing up way out on measure 1323 or even farther out. Subsequent samples get pushed even more to the right . I have set my NOW time correctly, and have tried virtually every means to import the file. Any ideas?

This is to do with the TIMESTAMP on the sample
 
I am not at my DAW but if you google "import at timestamp" and look to disable this you will be good to go
 
It is a simple fix so don't panic

Edit > Preferences > File > Audio Data > uncheck "Always Import Broadcast Waves at their Timestamp."
