HI there,
does anyone here still use Kontakt 3 within Sonar Plat.?
I have it and I have it updated to the latest patches, libraries, etc. using NI command center like Sonar and of course, I have Sonar updated to the latest patches, updates too, but when I insert a new sample, no matter what it is, piano, strings, anything, as soon as I hit a key to start playing, the sample starts clicking and won't stop.
I have even gone into Kontakt engine and turned the cores down to 1 but that doesn't work, so I popped it back up to 8 cores, still clicks as soon as you hit a key to play..
Anyone else here experienced this??
Thanks..

I think I have this semi figured out...
I have downloaded the free kontakt player 5.0 and installed it both as a standalone and vst which sonar picked up...
opening version 5 has stopped the sample clicking but I was wondering that when I open my kontakt 3 library that version 5 says it's demo, is this going to cause recording my kontakt 3 libraries to stop recording?

Are you using 32 bit Kontakt 3 with Sonar 64?
I agree with John, using the latest and updated Kontakt 5 is your best option.
At some point things get outdated. That said, I fired up my Sonar Platinum 64 and launched Kontakt 3 (I have not used it in ages, unless it was involved in a past project); no problem!
So, some system specs will be needed to adjust and tolerate for your current needs. Are your Library on a separate drive etc...........

I'm using the 64bit version of kontakt 3 vst with my library audio samples on a different drive.......
I will probably upgrade sometime in the future....:)

You'll find some of your libraries won't work with the Kontakt 5 Free player.

You are probably right there Mudgel:)...
installing the free version 5 of the kontakt player did fix the older engine of kontakt 3 and my libraries that I did load in kontakt 5 worked great...
the downside is that the free player is a demo thing :(
I walked away for a few minutes and came back and voila, kontakt 5 free player had timed out and I had to remove the instance from the track and put it back in, but I did copy the midi data over and copied it back onto the new instance of kontakt 5, no work was lost:)...
definitely going to have to spend the money to upgrade my kontakt program when I can afford it...:)

thanks guys for all of your help..
