What the subject says.  I have not been able to get past scanning plugins.  Says has stopped and kicks me out.  I have done all the things as usual, reboot, shut off any background progs.  It has yet to boot and operate since the update.

Any chance of some more system details Rob to help troubleshoot your problems.  Sound card, Driver mode, CPU OS that sort of thing.  Thanks.

S/C: Beringher X32 running ASIO drivers via firewire.  (stable for two years prior)
MB:  Dell 0D883F
CPU: Xeon E5520 all cores running between 40-50 degrees.
16 GB DDR 3
239 GB Spare space on OS drive.
Win 7 64 bit.

Again, NEVER had a CTD out of X3, super stable system, only one prior problem with Platinum that was connected to a known bug that was supposed to be fixed with the update.

I assume, dangerous I know, that you are opening an existing project?

Have you tried start Platinum and just letting the scan run without trying to open a project.

Try that and monitor how the scan runs and try and watch if a particular object in the scan causes the crash.

I am not going to even attempt troubleshooting this but do you have a restore point from before installing? As a last resort if this can't be solved I would say revert to that restore point and reinstall using the offline method (and perhaps even redownload the exe's to make sure the dl's weren't corrupted. Use a download manager for that or a browser with a built in dl manager like Firefox).

I'm sure the other, smarter than me, fellows can help you avoid that PITA.

Good luck.

Not even getting that far.  Hitting cancel on the popup but it is crashing before I can do that.  It is like it is not loading correctly.

Try opening in safe mode.

I did have 2 "yellow lights" and two "Reds" in Command Center for updates/installs but they were extras, not core programs.  Platinum shows green when not expanded.

I have a screen cap of the error message but how do I insert it into the forum?
