You would think that would be the case, but I've noticed that 64 bit, when checked, does weird things with exporting as well. It
seems to be related to my soundcard in some way or another, but I can't put my finger on it. At higher latencies, (256 and up) it seems to be a little less likely to hang up on me, but that is no where near a hard and fast rule. Sometimes it will become erratic at less or more. Anyway, unchecking it almost always seems to help, so regardless of whether there is a benefit to it or not, I have found that a working audio file almost always beats silence.

But I think it is definitely something that they should just make right, or stop talking about it altogether.
"our 64 bit, double precision engine never has worked correctly for a significant number of users, but you may find it a usable feature, even though it is debatable that it even has an audible advantage" doesn't sound as good as a feature on their advertising.
