Hi I am new to Sonar.  I have Sonar Professional which came with Melodyne.  The tutorials show me to select a region with the Region FX button - my Region FX button doesn't do anything when I push it.  I have tried other ways to get a clip into Melodyne and I haven't figured it out.  Any ideas please?

Thanks!
Steve

Select an audio clip, or left mouse drag an area on an audio clip . . . CTRL-M

This should bring it up. If not, might not be installed correctly.

What Region FX button are you referring to ?
There is a region FX drop down menu, but you need to first select the clip, then go to:
Region FX - -  Melodyne - -  Create Region FX

Yes I was referring to the drop down menu.  I am dragging an area on a clip but the drop down button doesn't respond - it isn't grayed out though

Is the VST3 version of Melodyne in the plug-in list?

When you did the Sonar install, there was probably a Melodyne Essentials version install option that came up after the Sonar part was installed ? On my system CTRL-M has always launched Melodyne into the multi-dock automatically.
I believe it was a separate Melodyne license you had to authorize, did you do that ?

It is in the VST list but not the VST3 list

There's your problem. Region FX uses the VST3 version of the plug-in. Install the VST3 version.

Well I can run it now outside of Sonar and it is working.  Sonar now doesn't see any version of Melodyne installed....?

Thanks for your help
