It probably should documented though...

WHOA!!! Now hold on a second there. Are you trying to tell me that people read documentation? Is this just some crazy rumor, or is there hard evidence that someone out there actually reads manuals? I always thought believing that people read manuals was like believing in Bigfoot or UFOs.

True but depressing story: I was consulting to a company many years ago, and said their manuals were quite horrible. I proposed they would have happier customers if they had better manuals. The answer I got was "Why? If they see the manual, they've already bought the product."

FYI the company is no longer in business.

No need for feelings of Plat knowledge inadequacy around these parts.

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a brand new acronym: PKI. To illustrate its use in a sentence:

"Where the heck are those Brian Hardgroove loops located? There's zero documentation, so I'm suffering from PKI!"

Just imagine the public service commercials...maybe Samuel L. Jackson would have sufficient gravitas:

"Tragically, every 14 minutes a SONAR Platinum user - who could be your family, co-worker, or neighbor - suffers from PKI, a syndrome that causes massive frustration, lost files, and sometimes even depression. Please, won't you help? Give generously to PDF, the Platinum Documentation Foundation. Let's all work to stamp out PKI, so that this affliction never again stops musicians from making great music with their software."

I think this has potential...

Sam, my people will call your people. Let's do lunch, baby! How about Il Pastaio, 1:00 o'clock, Thursday? I'll send you an Outlook meeting invite. Ciao!

Sorry Craig, but I can't read your post... I was just using Sonar when a sudden bout of my inner Hyde Side hath moved me to adjust my monitor, which, for some reason, decided to go blank about the same time. Now if you'll excuse me I'm rather quite busy trying to wriggle my fist... er, hand out of this thing.

btw, there should be a name for this syndrome!

So I actually get to name an affliction?    Cool, man...

PS....  Craig, can you cc: me on that Outlook meeting invite?  Thanks.
