I have been referred here for this first post of mine to this site - .  Questions I have are:

I have an older version of Sonar and in that one by pressing F7/F8 I can go the beginning and end of clips as opposed to dragging a pointer to the beginning/end of clip - an error prone/fiddling type of manual method. Has the F7/F8 function been taken out in Sonar X3? If so can I program it back in and how?

As far as cut and paste again pasting x number of duplicated copies starting at the right boundary of a clip is something I - and I am sure many others - do all the time and a lot of the time.  It seems to me there should be a simple function that does that - click on the clip, have a choice 'copy x times from the right boundary of this clip'. If not available I think it should be programmed into the next update - it is something that is used all the time, it's not esoteric. But in the meantime, is there some way I can make a macro keystroke combination that would do this? So I click on the clip, press some key combination, get asked how many times I want to paste copies, I enter a number, press enter and voila all done, program knows exactly what I mean.  A job for CAL?

If there is yet another forum for programming please let me know.

All responses are appreciated in advance.

That's a good question, and something I use often in another DAW when working on a track with a lot of clips in it.

In an earlier version of Sonar I think I was able to set it up somewhere in the key assignments, but can't seem to find it now in Platinum.

Looking forward to some answers.

F7 and F8 were shortcuts for Go to From and Go to Thru.  But, in Platinum (and I believe X3), F7 and F8 have new uses (related to selecting Tools).

Go to From has a new shortcut of Shift+G.

Go to Thru has no new shortcut, but you can make one:  Use Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts and (in Global Bindings) do a search on Go to Thru, and then assign your own desired keybinding.
